London is famed for it's magnificent theatre district, the West End, and has been gathering show-goers and punters for decades. But what are the best shows on at the moment? Read on to find out.
1. The Lion King

4. Thriller - Live
Thriller – Live – a musical tribute to Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 – arrives in the West End after three acclaimed UK tours and standing ovations across Europe. Celebrating the career of the world's undisputed King of Pop, expect two hours of non-stop hits.
5. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Roald Dahl's deliciously dark tale of mysterious confectioner Willy Wonka comes to life in a musical directed by Sam Mendes. A chocolate garden, an army of squirrels and the peculiar Oompa-Loompas all feature in this spectacular musical show.
6. Mama Mia!
A mother; a daughter; three possible dads; and a trip down the aisle you'll never forget. More than 10 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the ABBA songs that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show.
7. The Book of Mormon
This comedy musical follows the plight of a pair of teenage Mormon missionaries sent to convert a village in a dangerous part of Uganda. The brainchild of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this hit Broadway musical has won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
8. Billy Elliot: The Musical
The acclaimed adaptation of the popular British film, Billy Elliot: The Musical features music by Elton John and is directed by Stephen Daldry. It's the moving story of a working class boy who falls in love with ballet and fights to prove his doubters wrong.
9. Les Miserables
Cameron Mackintosh's legendary production of Boublil and Schönberg's Les Misérables is a global stage sensation. Seen by more than 70 million people in 44 countries and in 22 languages around the globe, it is still breaking box-office records everywhere.
10. Matilda The Musical
Take the whole family to see The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda The Musical. Roald Dahl's much-loved story bursts into life in this musical by Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin. Children and adults alike will be delighted by the little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
