Knight Bishop – Newham Estate Agents and Lettings

"What a pleasure it was dealing with the team at Knight Bishop. I found you all to be both friendly and professional and am still surprised how quickly you got my property listed and then under offer! I will be back in future and have been recommending you to my friends and family."
Mrs Shah (Plaistow)

"Without fail the best Estate Agency I have used over the last ten years, talk is cheap, delivering is something else and you delivered!”
Miss Coulthart (Stratford)

Why move to Newham?

As one of the six boroughs to host Olympic events in 2012, Newham is another part of East London that has had fresh life pumped into it. The magnificent site of the Olympic Stadium stands tall and reigns supreme across much of the boroughs skyline, a stadium where world records were broken and legacies formed. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has very recently been opened to the public; its wildflower meadows and lavish landscaping that were so warming during the sporting games are free to roam through once more. By 2030, the Park will be home to more than 10,000 households forming a brand new postcode - E20 - providing some idea of the nature of reform that the borough is currently going through. Situated within the Olympic Park is the rose-red tower of twisted steel known as The Orbit. From the tower you can survey the boroughs historic Docklands, as well as take in a unique view of the City observing landmarks from the Shard to St. Paul’s Cathedral. Right opposite the Park is Stratford’s Westfield shopping centre (the third largest in the UK), with its stellar selection of stores that will take the best part of a day to troll through. Perhaps the most impressive aspect to life in Newham is its fantastic transport links. As well as the standard methods of travel in London (tube, bus and national rail) you have the options of the DLR, cable cars, the Woolwich Ferry, and even London City Airport, making your commute that little bit more stress-free.

Property In Newham

There are over 100 listed buildings in Newham, including the Grade II listed Abbey Mills Pumping Station, the Grade II listed Fairbairn Hall and the Grade I listed Church of All Saints. As well as a wealth of property for Newham estate and lettings agents to offer clients, the borough has an abundance of open green space. The aforementioned Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is one of the most impressive open spaces in the country, let alone in the borough of Newham. Spread across 560 acres, the park is home to spectacular parkland, waterways, venues and attractions – made all the more special with memories of the life-changing Olympic games that took place in the space three years ago. Another outdoor area is the Lee Valley Regional Park, the largest open space in the capital stretching 26 miles from Hertfordshire, through Essex, north and east London to the Thames. The park blends nature with the urban sprawl of city life, making it an attractive landscape for fans of both the country and city lifestyles.

Transport in Newham is undergoing a major upgrade, with the completed Docklands Light Railway and Jubilee Line Extension, with new or improved stations at Canning Town, West Ham and Stratford. Stratford International station on High Speed 1 opened in late 2009. The Crossrail scheme will also improve rail connections to several stations in the borough. The Docklands Light Railway was extended to serve London City Airport.
